It is known that in 20 years of development with the history of Vietnam, the explosion of art is not only expressed in modern painting but also includes new artistic experiments such as installation, performance, pop-art, video-art, digital-art, ... in the world these forms have existed before and have developed to the utmost, commonly called contemporary art. However, to truly understand contemporary art, in Vietnam there are not many documents, many publications specifically mentioning this new art genre. It can be seen that the interest in contemporary art in our country is still fragmented, lacking in system, and not clearly formed, sometimes even misunderstood. These are also the "deficiencies" that the book aims to direct to readers.
Starting with an overview of Vietnamese contemporary art, the book also introduces the process of operation, along with information about events, activities, and the faces of outstanding contemporary artists in Vietnam over the past 20 years, along with vivid illustrations of their works.
With the desire to bring certain understanding of contemporary Vietnamese art, the book is also a document for foreign readers to better understand the cultural and social values of our country today./.
