Sacombank - Nurturing dreams
(Baonghean.vn) - “Nurturing dreams” is a scholarship program implemented by Sacombank since 2004. In Nghe An alone, after nearly 15 years of implementation, the program has brought the opportunity to go to school to hundreds of poor students who have overcome difficulties to study well.

At 1/5 High School - Nghia Dan, there is Ngo Van Giang, a student in class 12C1, born into a poor family in Dong Hoi II hamlet, Nghia Hoi commune - a difficult commune, a remote area of Nghia Dan district, but last school year Giang achieved a total score of 9.8 points, holding the position of "valedictorian" of the school and getting absolute scores in all subjects.

In Nghe An, in the 2017-2018 school year, the program was awarded to 60 students at Huynh Thuc Khang High School - Vinh, Le Hong Phong High School, Nguyen Truong To High School - Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan 1 High School, Vinh University High School for the Gifted, Nguyen Truong To High School - Vinh, Nghia Dan 1-5 High School, Phan Thuc Truc High School - Dien Chau and Dien Chau 3 High School. Students considered for scholarships by Sacombank are students in grades 11 and 12 in the 2017-2018 school year, achieving an average academic result of 7.0 or higher in the 2016-2017 school year and having difficult circumstances at high schools in the province. In addition to Le Hong Phong High School, the remaining schools had their scholarships awarded simultaneously on the morning of September 5 at the Opening Ceremony of the new school year.
The “Sacombank – Nurturing Dreams” scholarship was launched at the beginning of the new school year, also in response to the “Supporting Students to School” program launched by the People’s Committee of Nghe An province. The “Sacombank - Nurturing Dreams” scholarship is implemented annually by Sacombank to support students to have more conditions to study. Statistics show that from 2004 to present, the number of students receiving Sacombank scholarships is more than 31,000 students with a total budget of more than 36 billion VND that Sacombank has spent on the program. In 2017 alone, Sacombank will award 3,132 “Sacombank – Nurturing Dreams” scholarships to disadvantaged students with high academic results nationwide.
