Cooking oil is one of the essential commodities for which the state has implemented a price stabilization program, so for a long time, Nghe An Agricultural Export Corporation has been closely associated with and effectively implemented this program in Nghe An.

Mr. Tran Nam Khang - Deputy General Director of Nghe An Agricultural Export Corporation said: "In order to implement the price stabilization program, the Corporation was assigned by the province to reserve essential goods for the 2014 Lunar New Year with an amount of 4.25 billion VND to prepare 100,000 liters of cooking oil and 100 tons of rice. The unit has been implementing this program in accordance with the province's regulations. However, due to the strong increase in demand for essential goods during this Tet holiday, the Corporation is ready with a volume of goods including cooking oil and hundreds of tons of rice and sticky rice with a total value of 20 billion VND. With the active preparation of a large quantity of goods for the Tet holiday, the unit will satisfy the market demand and at the same time ensure the rights of consumers".

Prepare enough rice at the Nghe An Agricultural Export Company's warehouse to serve during Tet.

In addition to developing the consumption market in Vinh City, during this Tet holiday, Nghe An Agricultural Export Corporation pays special attention to bringing essential goods with stable prices to localities in the province. It is known that at agents and points of sale in districts and towns in the province, the amount of cooking oil consumed is about 13 containers and is currently being deployed to serve the people. At the points of sale, the selling price is publicly announced and guaranteed to be sold at the correct price, at the same time, the distributor regularly checks and supervises the sales...

Vietnam - Laos Economic Cooperation Investment Joint Stock Company is one of the units actively participating in the implementation of the price stabilization program and has done it very effectively. Thanks to the capital support of 4,775 billion VND from the program to reserve essential goods during Tet, the Company has signed a contract to buy 3 types of cooking oil: Simply, Meizan and Marvela, each weighing from 1 - 2 liters/bottle. Along with that, the unit has signed a contract to buy 150 tons of rice. To have enough goods to serve Tet, Vietnam - Laos Economic Cooperation Investment Joint Stock Company has prepared 15 billion VND in goods, including essential goods such as cooking oil, rice, instant noodles, sugar, etc. The Company currently has a large quantity of goods and means of transport ready to serve localities if there is a shortage of goods...

As the only enterprise among the 6 units participating in the program of reserving essential goods for Tet in the province to supply rice and sticky rice, Thanh Sang Import Export Joint Stock Company (Vinh City) has prepared a very large volume of goods.

Ms. Phan Thi Thuy - Director of the Company said: “This is the first time the company has participated in the reserve of essential goods for the 2014 Lunar New Year, so we are determined to carry out this important task well. With the support of 3.375 billion VND from the province to purchase 150 tons of rice and 100 tons of sticky rice, the company has fully prepared that quantity of goods. In addition, the company has also prepared a large quantity of rice and sticky rice to serve people during the Tet holiday. By preparing a good source of goods, the company will promptly meet the demand for reserve of goods for the Tet holiday, and at the same time, fulfill the demand for supplying goods when there is a shortage of goods”.

Because Tet is the lean season, there is often a shortage of food, so Thanh Sang Import Export Joint Stock Company is currently bringing in 2,000 tons of Southern rice and 20 tons of sticky rice, most of which are for mountainous districts and accordingly, the price-stabilized goods for Tet will be sold at 10,500 VND/kg of rice and 18,000 VND/kg of sticky rice. The owner of the Hanh Phuoc food stall in Quy Chau Town said: "During this time, there is a very high demand for rice and Thanh Sang Import Export Joint Stock Company is bringing in 2 trucks of rice equivalent to 40 tons to serve the people in the area".

The province’s support for businesses to stockpile essential goods for Tet not only contributes positively to stabilizing the market and protecting consumers’ rights, but also helps businesses produce and trade effectively and implement social security.
