Regarding the submission and draft resolution on the planning for agricultural production development in Nghe An province until 2020, with a vision to 2030, members of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council basically agreed on the viewpoints and goals for agricultural production development in the province in the coming period. In which, the focus is on the goal of sustainable agricultural production development, creating high-value products, ensuring stable life and increasing income for farmers.

Comrade Le Minh Thong - Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee said that developing agricultural production needs to be associated with ensuring national defense and security in the area.

On that basis, some members of the Board raised some concerns about expanding the area and investing in building more cassava starch processing factories in the Northwest of Nghe An. Because besides the advantages of cassava being easy to grow, being a tree that helps reduce hunger and poverty for people, this tree is harmful to the soil and has low value compared to many other crops. Therefore, instead of expanding the area of ​​cassava, it is necessary to research and introduce other crops with higher value and efficiency to this Northwest region. Similarly, tea trees need to be invested in intensive cultivation, improve processing capacity, and create high value in production.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated some viewpoints and goals in agricultural development of the province.

Many delegates are interested in solutions to develop agricultural production such as managing and reviewing additional planning, creating consistency between industry planning and district planning; focusing on solutions for preserving, processing and consuming products, increasing value and production efficiency; solutions for investing in technical infrastructure serving agriculture, especially irrigation and transportation systems. Strengthening trade promotion, building brands, avoiding many products but no main products; organizing the production of clean agricultural products....

Deputy Director of the Department of Health reported on the budget plan to ensure HIV/AIDS prevention and control activities in the province, period 2015 - 2020.

At the meeting, the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council examined and approved a number of reports and draft resolutions such as: Policy to encourage and support the construction of new rural areas in the province, period 2015 - 2020; approved the plan to implement financial resources to ensure HIV/AIDS prevention activities in the province, period 2015 - 2020.
