Goals: Alexis Sanchez 6' - Lars Stindl 41'
Chile got off to a flying start in their second Group B match of the Confederations Cup, with striker Alexis Sanchez giving the Copa America champions the lead in the sixth minute with a fine finish.
Falling behind, Germany had to relentlessly attack to find an equalizer. It wasn't until the 41st minute that luck smiled on the reigning World Cup champions when Lars Stindl scored the equalizer to make it 1-1.

The match between Germany and Chile was not only a confrontation between the two teams considered the strongest in Group B of the Confederations Cup, but also a reunion of two stars playing for Arsenal, Mustafi and Sanchez. In this meeting, Mustafi played worse when he directly made a mistake in passing the ball, leading to the opening goal. After getting the ball in the middle of the field, Sanchez coordinated a one-two with Arturo Vidal to rush into the penalty area, thereby defeating Ter Stegen with a shot into the near corner.
Sanchez was also the leading player in Chile's attack, playing a tit-for-tat with Germany for the rest of the first half. Goalkeeper Ter Stegen often had to play with high concentration to avoid conceding a second goal. In the 20th minute, Chile almost increased the score to 2-0 when Eduardo Vargas fired a long-range shot that hit the crossbar of the German goal.
Having to play in a chasing position, Germany did not show any impatience. Their traditional advantage in spirit gradually helped coach Joachim Low's team put pressure on goalkeeper Johnny Herrera's goal.
After several missed shots, Germany finally found an equalizer. As Chile fans were celebrating their victory in the first half, Emre Can played a pass down the left flank to Jonas Hector, who entered the box. From Hector's cross, Stindl tapped in from just five metres to level the score at 1-1.
The second half started with more caution from both teams. Chile continued to show their sharpness through Sanchez's free kick and Vidal's header. Meanwhile, Germany only had one more dangerous situation thanks to Stindl's effort.
The draw does not affect the two teams' positions in Group B. Chile continues to lead with four points and a goal difference of +2, while Germany is equal on points and has a goal difference of +1. Due to a 1-1 draw in the same match, Australia and Cameroon are behind with the same point.
In the final round, Chile will play Australia, while Germany will play Cameroon. This is an opportunity for the two leading teams to enter the semi-finals together.
