On the morning of July 5, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of the Center for Disease Control of Nghe An province informed: From 7:00 p.m. on July 4, 2021 to 7:00 a.m. on July 5, 2021, Nghe An discovered 1 new Covid-19 patient and had the first death due to Covid-19.

New Covid-19 patientwas discovered to be LTH, female, born in 1985, trade occupation, address in Quang Tien block, Hung Binh ward, Vinh city. Patient LTH is F1 of patient NTL who was announced earlier. Patient LTH was quarantined at Huu Nghi Hotel from June 21, tested twice on June 20 and June 28, both with negative results. On July 4, 2021, the patient was tested for the third time with a positive result for SARS-CoV-2 virus;

Thus, up to now Nghe An has had124 Covid-19 positive cases, including: Vinh City: 83 cases, Dien Chau: 18 cases, Tan Ky: 01 case, Quy Hop: 05 cases, Nam Dan: 04 cases, Do Luong: 01 case, Hoang Mai: 02 cases, Nghia Dan: 01 case, Nghi Loc: 04 cases, Quynh Luu: 05 cases.

Last night, the first Covid-19 patient to die in Nghe An was Ms. NTD, 71 years old, residing in Yen Giang block, Vinh Tan ward, Vinh city. The patient was admitted to the Parasitic Virus Department, Tropical Disease Center, Nghe An General Hospital at 0:35 on June 23; being treated in a negative pressure room. Due to her old age and many underlying diseases, the patient's condition worsened and she died on the night of July 4.
