(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 9, all workers and employees at Viet Glory Company Limited returned to work. Previously, the company's leaders had announced an increase in meal allowances and fuel subsidies for workers.
According to Nghe An Newspaper, on October 7, after working with the Dien Chau District Party Committee delegation, the Board of DirectorsViet Glory Company Limitedannounced an extension of the return to work period for workers.
Specifically, by the morning of October 9, if the workers who quit their jobs from the afternoon of October 2 do not return to work, the company will comply with the provisions of Point e, Article 36 of the 2019 Labor Code on the employer's right to unilaterally terminate the labor contract.
On the same day, the company's board of directors also announced adjustments to meal allowances, fuel allowances, and increased production bonuses, effective from October 1, 2023.
Specifically, fuel costs are increased from 260,000 VND/month to 390,000 VND/month (an increase of 130,000 VND/person/month). Meal costs are increased from 20,000 VND/person/meal to 24,000 VND/person/meal, equivalent to 520,000 VND/person/month to 624,000 VND/person/month (an increase of 104,000 VND/person/month).
Production bonus is increased at all 3 levels: Level 1 increased from 20,000 VND to 50,000 VND; Level 2 increased from 25,000 VND to 55,000 VND; Level 3 increased from 30,000 VND to 60,000 VND.
Previously, on October 6,more than 1,000 workershave entered the factory to work. This number on October 7 was more than 1,500 workers. These positive changes are the result ofdirection from the Provincial Party Committee, the involvement of departments, branches, and functional agencies at all levels... in Nghe An over the past few days.

After understanding the situation, the inter-sectoral agency compiled 8 groups of petitions from workers and organized many working sessions at the company. The Board of Directors of Viet Glory Company Limited issued 2 notices to workers to respond to the petitions (October 2 and 5).
Previously, at this company, there was also a situation where workers voluntarily stopped working after the Lunar New Year holidays in 2021 and 2022. The main reason was that workers wanted a salary increase, clarity about the policies; labor conflicts... After the participation of the Dien Chau District Labor Federation and Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation to resolve the issue, the company established a grassroots union in March 2021.
