(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, June 23, 40,392 (5,922 students less than last year's enrollment period) junior high school graduates in the province entered the first day of the 10th grade entrance exam.
Of the 91 high schools in the province (excluding Vinh High School for the Gifted and University), 69 schools organized entrance exams (except for 22 non-public schools). The Department of Education and Training organized 72 examination councils with 1,706 examination rooms (compared to last year, there were 12 examination councils and 265 examination rooms).
According to the plan, the Department of Education and Training will enroll 945 grade 10 classes with a total of 38,645 students (accounting for 95.68% of the candidates), including 759 public classes with 30,325 students (accounting for 75.08% of the candidates); 133 non-public classes with 5,780 students (accounting for 14.31% of the candidates); 53 cultural supplementary classes with 2,540 students (accounting for 06.29% of the candidates).
The entrance exam for grade 10 in the 2012-2013 school year will be conducted in three subjects: Math, Literature and History. The exam will be in essay format, including an advanced section to meet the entrance exam requirements. The exam will take place over two days, June 23-24.
This morning the candidates entered the first exam session with Math.
