Star of "Living with Mother-in-law" reveals feelings for female MC who won "VTV Smile"

After the role of Tung (Trang's husband) in the hit movie "Living with Mother-in-law", Danh Tung continued to participate in the movie "Hate then love" by director Trinh Le Phong. If the movie is popular, the actors have a lot of opportunities to make money'

- Many actors almost changed their lives thanks to the popularity of a movie. How did your salary change after “Living with Mother-in-law”?

- I have been in the arts for 10 years now, I have experienced all of those things. I think it is normal to rely on the success of a movie or "shout" for a higher salary. But for me personally, I still care most about quality, the important thing is how to make sure that the next time we collaborate, everyone still looks at each other with happy eyes.

Honestly, I also received many invitations to advertise, attend events, and was more sought after than before. My name was also rekindled. In the South and the North, wherever I went, the audience recognized me. Even after the movie ended, I still received the love of the audience.

As for whether or not my income has improved, I think my salary has its level, as long as I'm satisfied with it. The important thing is that thanks to the movie, I have more things to talk about with people.

- In "Living with Mother-in-law", your acting was criticized as bland and inferior to the female actors' trance. How did you receive the mixed feedback at that time?

- Acting like you're possessed is one way of acting. But if the whole movie had all the actors competing to be possessed, it wouldn't be good and wouldn't be very similar to real life. Each person has a different personality, you can't act exactly the same. I think my role needs to be portrayed like that.

When my mother cries and my wife cries, my character can't just cry like that, it's too tragic. The director also asked me to have some moderation in my personality when transforming into the character.

Many people commented that my performance was manly and experienced. I think that's true because my character is not a child, he is a husband who needs to create a balance between mother and wife.

- A supporting actor in the movie “The Judge” once revealed that the salary for Vietnamese TV dramas is very low. As someone who often plays supporting roles, what can you reveal?

- In the upcoming movie "Hate then love", my character is a main character, not a supporting role, it's just that I appear less than the other characters. As for the salary, to be honest, I've never made money from acting.

After finishing this film, I still don't know how much I will be paid. I never bargain for my salary when I act in a film. I only care about whether my character is good or not and how it is received.

I believe that if you work hard and diligently, if the film is popular, the actors will have many opportunities to work and earn money. In Vietnam, it is very difficult to produce a TV series, everyone in the crew cares about the actors, so I do not focus on salary.

'MC Thuy Linh and I did not intentionally show that we love each other'

- As an MC and editor of Vietnam Television, you often participate in movies. How do you arrange your work?

- My main job is in the Arts Department of Vietnam Television. When I receive an invitation, I always check to see if the filming schedule is suitable for my work schedule. If it is not suitable, I have to refuse, even though I regret it.

However, acting is my passion. So, in addition to working at the station, depending on the time, I will devote my energy to acting. I don't need roles that appear too much, but just roles that have a place to perform and leave an impression. Small roles are fine as long as I feel like I'm living with the film.

- How do your colleagues support you in pursuing your passion?

- There are also many artists in VTV's Arts Department. Everyone always creates conditions for me to act as long as I complete my work in the department, that is an unwritten rule.

Work is busy but because I have youthful energy, I will not waste any hour or minute. Even when I feel sleepy, I do not dare to sleep so that I can meet my friends. I am devoting all my energy to work.

- For a while, many people speculated that you and MC Thuy Linh were a couple, but those close to you all knew that MC Thuy Linh already had a boyfriend. Why did you let people misunderstand like that?

- We don't mean to show it, the closeness is real. Thuy Linh is my most compatible co-star. We get along well in work and in life.

No matter the time, midnight or early morning, we are always ready to share with each other with text messages and calls. I feel lucky to have such a like-minded colleague during my career.

- If you had to name the relationship between you and MC Thuy Linh, what would it be…?

- I never thought about defining where that feeling started. I think it's too early to say anything, the future is unknown, I let things happen naturally. We are both working together and sacrificing a lot for our work.
