Buffalo pen collapsed, one woman died on the spot

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of September 21, during heavy rain, in hamlet 5, Quynh Hoa commune (Quynh Luu), a tragic accident occurred, causing a woman to die on the spot.

The victim's family said that at around 6am, Ms. Mai Thi Ha (37 years old) and her niece Dau Thi Kim Oanh (class 8A, Quynh Hoa Secondary School) went to the buffalo pen to check on the livestock and poultry and get a bicycle for Oanh to go to school. The mother and daughter had just crawled out of the buffalo pen when suddenly a strong wind blew, and at the same time it was pouring rain, causing the buffalo pen to collapse. Ms. Ha was hit in the head by a cement barrier and died on the spot. Oanh was crushed by a tile and fainted. Ms. Tran Thi Lieu (64 years old, Ms. Ha's mother) ran out of the house into the yard and immediately called out to the neighbors.

Despite the heavy rain, neighbors rushed Ms. Ha to the emergency room, but the head wound was too severe and she lost a lot of blood, so Ms. Ha did not survive. As for Oanh, after being brought into the house for first aid, she regained consciousness.

Immediately after hearing the news, local authorities were present at the scene to encourage the family to overcome the consequences.

It is known that Ms. Ha's family is poor and in extremely difficult circumstances. Her husband died early, so the three of them depend on each other.
