Hyundai Santa Fe with "affordable" price coming soon in Vietnam?

It is expected that in the middle of next week, Hyundai Thanh Cong will officially introduce to the market the "domestic" 7-seat multi-purpose vehicle Santa Fe.

With assembly right at the factory in Gian Khau Industrial Park (Ninh Binh), consumers can completely expect a "softer" retail price than at present.

Currently, the Santa Fe model imported from Korea is being distributed by Hyundai Thanh Cong with retail prices ranging from 1.298 billion VND to 1.44 billion VND depending on the version. This is considered a fairly high price and therefore, has somewhat limited the purchasing power of Santa Fe in the market.

Previously, in the second half of the 2000s, Santa Fe was one of the best-selling car models. Along with its “younger brother” Getz, this 7-seat multi-purpose vehicle played the most important role in the influence of the Korean car brand in the Vietnamese market.

According to research, it is likely that the domestically assembled Santa Fe will have 2 engine options. Of which, the gasoline engine version has a capacity of 2.4 liters, maximum capacity of 176 horsepower and maximum torque of 226 Nm; the diesel engine version has a capacity of 2.2 liters turbocharged, maximum capacity of 197 horsepower and maximum torque of 436 Nm. The car is equipped with front-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Compared to many models in the segment, Santa Fe is also one of the models that owns many modern equipment such as electronic brakes, remote-controlled trunk, panoramic sunroof, genuine DVD screen with integrated navigation map, Bi-Xenon headlights, electric front seats, rain sensor, dual-zone automatic air conditioning.
