Vietnam's environmental status report 2011-2015 to be announced soon
On September 29, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will announce the National Environmental Status Report for the 2011-2015 period to provide an overview of Vietnam's environment.
According to sources from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the report will provide an overview of socio-economic development activities and pressure on the environment over the past five years; climate change issues and unusual natural disasters have increased negative impacts on the environment.

In addition, the report also analyzes and evaluates the developments in the environment of land, water, air, biodiversity and prominent environmental issues in recent times. In particular, environmental pollution incidents are on the rise in both quantity and impact.
In addition, the report will also assess the impact of environmental pollution on public health and socio-economic development activities; assess environmental management, opportunities and challenges, thereby orienting environmental protection work and proposing specific solutions, as well as recommendations to the National Assembly and the Government on environmental protection work in the new period.
Minister Tran Hong Ha is expected to chair the report announcement ceremony./.
