September 20, 2011 10:01

(Baonghean.vn). On the evening of September 19, in Con Cuong district (Nghe An), heavy rain combined with the heavy rainfall over the past several days flooded the road section through Con Cuong town (Nghe An). From 8:00 p.m. on September 19, at Doc Cho point on Highway 7, a serious landslide buried the road, causing traffic congestion.

Immediately after the incident, the Road Management Board 4, the leaders of Tuong Duong and Con Cuong districts mobilized people and machinery to clear and remove the landslide layer that buried the road. By 2:00 a.m. on September 20, the Doc Cho road was open to traffic. However, due to heavy rain and the accumulated water over the past few days, at 7:00 a.m. on September 20, the road through Doc Cho continued to collapse. By 9:30 a.m. today, this road was still being repaired and could not be opened to traffic.

Along with the point at Doc Cho, many sections of National Highway 7 through Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, and Ky Son districts are suffering from serious landslides.
