Deep "Lotus scent of Uncle Ho's hometown"

(Baonghean) - The continuous heat from mid-April until now does not seem to have much effect on the practice atmosphere of the artists and actors of the Nghe An Mass Art Troupe. If anything, to take advantage of the weather, the practice time is extended and usually when the city lights up, the second floor hall of the Provincial Cultural - Information Center is deserted.

During more than a month of hard training, many of the selected artists had to travel dozens of kilometers to and from the base every day. However, overcoming these obstacles, more than 30 artists were proud to be able to participate in the National Lotus Village Singing Festival.

For the people of Nghe An, the Lotus Village Singing Festival has become familiar and has become an annual activity to pay tribute to Him. Also from this festival, many cultural and artistic movements at the grassroots level have been discovered. Many songs about Uncle Ho were composed to serve the art programs of the troupes and later became famous songs, such as: "Canh Dieu Tuoi Tho" by musician Hoang Thanh, "Chung con hat ve Nguoi - Ho Chi Minh" by musician Ho Huu Thoi...

In preparation for the 2015 National Lotus Village Singing Festival, localities have organized festivals at the grassroots level, selecting core members for the Nghe An Art Troupe. Therefore, the selection of singers, actors, and the development of the program have become more elaborate and careful. Participating in the Provincial Art Troupe to attend this year's festival are many non-professional artists at the grassroots level such as: Ngoc Khanh - teacher at Vinh Tan Primary School, Cao Bang - teacher at Hien Son Primary School (Do Luong), Thuy Dung - student at Vinh Medical University...

Mai Huong - a member of Nghe An Art Troupe participated in the festival and was selected to sing solo. The song "We sing about Him", a famous song by musician Ho Huu Thoi, has been successfully performed by many professional artists. To "renew" the work, Huong did not hesitate to perform it in a new arrangement, carefully studied the work and was guided by her teacher, Meritorious Artist Ngoc Ha. She also believes that, with her sincere feelings, the audience will enthusiastically receive this song.

The art program of the Nghe An delegation participating in the Sen Village Singing Festival this year has the theme "Sen Fragrance of Uncle Ho's Homeland". The idea of ​​the program is to create an image of Sen Village past and present. Here, more than 100 years ago, Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of Vietnam grew up and led the Vietnamese people to escape from oppression, imprisonment and slavery. Now, through many ups and downs, the people of Sen Village, the people of Nghe An are still steadfast, united in building their homeland and country.

Being assigned the responsibility of choreographing the entire program, Meritorious Artist and choreographer Hoang Thi Anh Tuyet shared that she struggled a lot with the content of the program. Because the lotus is a very familiar image, the image of Uncle Ho has also been successfully staged in many programs, so how to make it new, to choreograph it into an attractive program will be very difficult. With that in mind, artist Anh Tuyet has built a separate art space, with a blend of the past and the present, and the lotus has become an image throughout the program.

She also really enjoyed the choreography of “Huong sen que Bac”, a new composition by Meritorious Artist Tien Dung on the familiar melody of Nghe An folk songs. In this opening performance, the audience will see familiar images of Nghe An people such as looms, hammocks, silk reeling, silk weaving…

This year’s art program is also expected to create many interesting and attractive things for the audience because more than 2/3 of the works used are new songs. These are the work “Vui hoi Lang Sen” by author Tran Cai based on the folk song of the Kho Mu people in the Western region of Nghe An, the dance work “Mother weaves faith”, music by young musician Hoan Tuan, “Bac Ho - our life” by musician Phan Thanh Chuong…

With deep affection, deep love and pride of the people of Uncle Ho's hometown, the program of Nghe An Art Troupe will certainly create a mark for this year's festival.
