After having two fingers, the young man got involved in drugs again
(Baonghean.vn) - Tuan has been in court twice for "Theft of property". Not long after being released from prison, Tuan got involved with "white goods". To avoid detection by the police, Tuan hid drugs in cigarette packs.
Nghe An Provincial People's Court has just opened a first-instance criminal trial of defendant Nguyen Van Tuan (26 years old), from Linh Son commune (Anh Son), temporarily residing in Dong Vinh ward (Vinh city) for the crime of ""Illegal drug trafficking".
Nguyen Van Tuan is a subject with a bad personal history. In 2014, Tuan was sentenced twice to 9 months in prison for "Theft of property" and 5 years in prison for "Theft of property", the total sentence Tuan had to serve was 5 years and 9 months in prison.

Not long after his release from prison, Tuan got involved with drugs again. According to the case file, at around 12 noon on June 2, 2020, Tuan called a man named Hung to discuss buying 30 grams of crystal meth. Hung agreed to sell it for 8 million VND.
After that, Tuan took the bus to Do Luong town to trade drugs. Meeting Hung at a cafe in the new urban area Vuon Xanh, Hung gave Tuan a pack of cigarettes, which contained drugs. After buyingdrug, Tuan went back to his room and hid it.
At around 6:40 p.m. on June 4, Tuan was ordered by a man named Ha to buy 30 grams of drugs. Tuan quoted a price of 12 million VND. When Tuan and a friend went to Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street (Vinh City) to prepare for the transaction, they were discovered by Vinh City Police, who arrested the person and the evidence.
After the case was transferred to Nghe An Provincial Police for investigation under their authority, Tuan changed his testimony, claiming that the drugs seized during the arrest belonged to Nguyen Van Cong in Quan Hanh town (Nghi Loc). Tuan only participated in receiving and hiding drugs, following Cong's instructions. However, based on the investigation results, the arrest record of the offender caught red-handed, the self-confession... the investigation agency has enough grounds to confirm that Tuan was buying and selling drugs.
For the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking", the People's Court sentenced Nguyen Van Tuan to 16 years in prison.
