Vietnamese stars dominate voting at ASEAN Cup 2024

A series of stars of the Vietnamese team are dominating the vote for the ASEAN Cup 2024.

At the moment, Dinh Trieu is leading the vote for Best Goalkeeper for the typical team ofASEAN Cup 2024Competing with the goalkeeper of Hai Phong FC are Haziq Nadzli (Malaysia), Patiwat Khammai (Thailand), Quincy Kammeraad (Philippines) and Izwan Mahbud (Singapore).

Coming in second is center back Bui Tien Dung with 15.59% of the votes. The third place on this list is left back Nicholas Mickelson (Thailand), with only 1.70% of the votes.

In the Best Midfielder category, the top 3 positions are all held by Vietnamese players. The leader is Nguyen Hoang Duc, with 70.58%. Second place is Nguyen Quang Hai with 19.34%. Third place is Nguyen Hai Long with 8.96%.

Arsenal in big trouble after losing to MU

Defender Ho Tan Tai, who had to leave the Vietnamese team from the semi-finals of the ASEAN Cup 2024 (AFF Cup), will have to rest for about 9 months like his teammate Nguyen Xuan Son due to injury.

Due to an injury sustained in the 3/1 victory over Singapore on the evening of December 29 in the second leg of the semi-final, Tan Tai was unable to play in the two final matches against Thailand. He was diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee after failing to control the ball and falling in the final minutes of the match against Singapore.

According to the initial diagnosis, Tan Tai only had to rest for about 2 months to recover. However, the re-examination results showed that this defender will have to undergo surgery and rest for the next 8 to 9 months before he can train normally again.

At the recent ASEAN Cup 2024, Tan Tai played well every time he was given the opportunity, before unfortunately getting injured.
