Deputy Head of the Government Office Nguyen Khac Dinh has just issued a document announcing Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh's approval of the roadmap for increasing hospital fees from 2014, developed by the Ministry of Health.

Accordingly, the Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance to develop human resource standards for each surgery and procedure, as a basis for the Ministry of Health and Finance to provide guidance on payment levels. The Deputy Prime Minister also assigned the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to develop salary standards for doctors according to hospital class.
Specifically, the Ministry of Health plans to collect hospital fees in a way that includes all 7 cost components (salary, on-duty allowance, surgical allowance, etc.). Currently, hospital fees only take into account 3/7 cost components./.
