On behalf of the delegation of the Provincial People's Council, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong reported the results of the 2nd session of the 17th Provincial People's Council; the socio-economic situation of Nghe An province in the recent past.

After listening to the presentation of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, voters expressed their agreement and excitement at the positive signs of socio-economic development of the province.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee met and discussed with voters of Nam Dan district.

Making recommendations to the provincial People's Council delegates, voter Ta Quang Thuan raised the issue of difficult medical examination and treatment conditions at health stations; the issue of new rural construction needs support from the province and the central government to complete the infrastructure.

Sharing the same opinion with voter Nguyen Thi Cung, many voters suggested that the province pay attention to education and training issues, create jobs for rural children; military rear policies in searching for martyrs' graves, and resolve policies for people infected with Agent Orange who have lost their documents.

Voter Hoang Ngoc Binh and other voters suggested that authorities should strictly punish overloaded vehicles, food safety issues, deforestation, etc.

At the conference, Mr. Dinh Xuan Que - Deputy Secretary - Chairman of Nam Dan District People's Committee explained the areas related to the authority of Nam Dan District People's Committee, emphasizing the issue of building irrigation canals, solving drought for the locality; restoring rural electricity grid; reviewing the implementation of policies for people with meritorious services.

Responding to voters' suggestions, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Creating irrigation water sources for localities is a very practical issue in agricultural production. The province will assign the Nam Irrigation Company and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to handle the issue of supplying irrigation water and draining water; building saline prevention sluices using ODA capital; Regarding support for damage caused by floods and natural disasters, based on regulations, localities need to make a list of timely support for people.

Regarding the issue of compensation for rural power grids during the handover process to the Electricity sector, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said: for anything under the Electricity sector's policies that must be paid to the locality and the people, the commune is requested to make a list to request the Electricity sector to pay; the province will continue to direct the Nghe An Electricity sector to take advantage of capital from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Government to invest in building new rural power grids.

Regarding food safety and hygiene, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the Prime Minister has assigned the responsibility to local leaders; the province has also strengthened the provincial and local steering committees to fight more fiercely to prevent dirty food. Regarding the implementation of policies for people with meritorious services, the commune is requested to review and submit the list, the province will direct the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to pay attention to solving the problem for the people.

Regarding the issue of children graduating from school but not having jobs, this is a huge pressure. The province is having solutions such as calling for investors to have facilities and factories to create jobs for people; opening more vocational schools in the province to provide vocational training for farmers' children.
