(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 14, a working delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the Export-Import Bank of Korea visited and worked in Nghe An province to prepare for investment in the project "Sluice to control salinity and improve the environment in the downstream area of ​​Hoang Mai River".

The project of the Salinity Control and Environmental Improvement Sluice on Hoang Mai River has been approved by the Government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to establish an investment project and mobilize capital from the Government of Korea (Export-Import Bank of Korea). The project is urgent and needs to be invested quickly because the water source in the downstream of Hoang Mai River is increasingly depleted, the salinity situation causes difficulties in daily life, production and aquaculture.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong said: The project plays an important role in contributing to restructuring the agricultural sector, building new rural areas in Nghe An province and promoting the socio-economic development of the South Thanh Hoa - North Nghe An region. The project dossier has been prepared. The province requests investors and central ministries and branches to pay attention, support funding and create favorable conditions for the project to be implemented soon.

Investor representative Mr. Kim Youn Seok - Chief Representative of the Export-Import Bank of Korea said: This is the first project between the Ministry of Agriculture and Korean investors, and also the first agricultural project invested by the Korean Government in Vietnam in Nghe An. With the role and importance of the Project, he hopes that the parties involved in the project will have close cooperation to successfully implement the project. Mr. Kim Young Seok also discussed in detail the work related to surveying and project preparation for implementation. In particular, the Project may be implemented in two phases due to the large total investment capital.

The province commits to the Ministry of Planning, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Bank to create favorable conditions and fully, seriously and promptly implement its part of the work. Even after the project is completed, the province will manage and exploit it effectively to achieve the project's objectives.
