Myanmar has never been in such a state of hotel and motel shortage as it is now. Tourists and reporters are wondering how to prepare for the upcoming SEA Games.
According to information on Myanmar hotel and tourism websites, most rooms have been booked in advance and are fully booked at this time. Tourists have no choice but to contact Vietnamese travel agencies but are facing difficulties.
Mr. Do Cong Duc, an employee of Trail of Indochina, said that this is a new market. Although his company has a representative in Myanmar, his employees cannot find hotel rooms in Naypyitaw for guests. The option of renting private houses is also difficult because not many people are interested in renting.
