His family is in the mountainous district of Que Phong, his parents are busy working on the fields, so the Thai ethnic candidate - Luong Van Hung had to take a bus to rent a room near Vinh University. After the Math exam, Hung did not do well on the test so he left the exam site in a bad mood. Seeing that, two female volunteer students immediately ran to encourage Hung to try to get high scores in the following exams and guided him to the table to receive free meals.

Carrying the hot, fragrant meal, soup, and a bottle of cold water, Hung happily brought it back to his room to eat and rest. “It was a bit tiring to take the exam alone, but being given free, hygienic meals, I felt very comforted and will try my best to do well in the next exams,” Hung confided.

After the Math exam ended, many candidates left the exam room and seemed confused and hesitant about the free meals. When volunteers and staff from Vinh University directly used loudspeakers to announce and advise the candidates, many students happily came to register to receive the free meals.

At first, many students were hesitant about free meals, so volunteers had to use loudspeakers to call for help.

Some volunteers even had to come directly to explain and invite candidates to receive free meals.

At Vinh University canteen, students and their families are served very thoughtfully.

At the side gate of Vinh University, many candidates who had just stepped out of the exam area were surprised to receive an invitation to eat in the school cafeteria. Here, volunteers, monks, and Buddhists from Can Linh Pagoda had prepared 50 tables with a full range of vegetarian dishes, soup, fruits, cool drinks, and cold towels to welcome the candidates and their families. Around 11:00 a.m., many tables were covered, and students and their families were served attentively, cleanly, and coolly, as if they were eating in a luxury restaurant. "When we first heard about the free rice, we didn't feel like it was delicious because we thought it was charity, for the poor, but when we entered here, it was completely different. The cozy atmosphere was no different from at home, hot rice, sweet soup, and many delicious vegetarian dishes," said Mr. Nguyen Duc Han from Yen Thanh district who brought his daughter to the exam.
