(Baonghean.vn) - With the new regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, this year, students from poor districts in category 30a, after graduating from high school, will be directly admitted to universities. Therefore, the nature of this year's high school graduation exam is similar to the first round of testing for students to enter university, so the industry's policy is to tighten exam room discipline, ensuring the real assessment of students' academic performance.

The Ky Son Boarding Ethnic High School Examination Council has 558 candidates taking the exam, including 102 candidates from the cultural supplementary program. With the policy of strictly assessing the quality of students and ensuring that university entrance meets standards, the provincial and district examination steering committees as well as the examination council attach great importance to security, order and safety for the exam. Right from the outer round, security forces prevented candidates from bringing documents, school bags, and prohibited items into the examination area; the district police set up checkpoints to keep students' personal belongings right outside the school gate.

The police force protecting the exam was increased, students were informed of the regulations from the beginning so there were no violations of the regulations; there were no more parents gathering in large numbers near the exam area. Ho Ba Co, a candidate from Ky Son Ethnic Minority High School, said: “This morning, the Literature exam was in essay format, but we were informed in advance so we did not dare bring cheat sheets into the room. This is an opportunity for us to enter university, but if we violate the exam regulations and are suspended, we will lose everything...”

Ms. Cut Thi Nguyet, Head of the District Steering Committee for the exams, said: “Determining the importance of a national exam, the Steering Committee has assigned specific tasks to the departments. The requirement of the Steering Committee is not only to carefully prepare the facilities but also to strictly implement the protection plan, ensure safety, seriousness, and compliance with regulations. Because if done properly, it will create a quality workforce, a source for the district in the future...”

Resolutely and seriously implementing to ensure objective and realistic assessment of teaching and learning quality, in the Literature exam this morning, at the Examination Council of Tuong Duong 1 Ethnic Minority High School, the inspection team suspended 4 candidates for bringing and using documents into the exam room; 8 invigilators (4 teachers from Thanh Chuong 1 High School and 4 teachers from Anh Son 3 High School) were reprimanded and suspended from exam supervision. To ensure timely number of invigilators for the remaining subjects, the Department has directed the education sector of Anh Son and Con Cuong to mobilize 8 reserve invigilators to replace them.

Afterwards, the entire examination council held a review meeting to draw lessons for the following exams. Mr. Luu Duc Thuyen, Head of the Department of Education's mobile inspection team, said: "The industry's viewpoint is "real learning, real exams", objective, fair and accurate assessment. We would like to affirm that there is no such thing as the Ministry giving autonomy to localities in the sense of "relaxing" in exams..."
