Seminar on scientific child rearing for women in religious areas

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 13, at the Quynh Thanh communal church hall, the Women's Union of Quynh Luu district coordinated with the TYM Charity Fund to organize a seminar on scientific child rearing for women in the religious area.

Quynh Luu Women's Union staff introduce scientific child-rearing topics.

Quynh Thanh is a Catholic commune of Quynh Luu district with a population of over 14 thousand people. Of which, women of childbearing age and raising children are about 600. The annual birth rate of the commune remains high at about 300 children born per year, the poverty rate of the commune in 2014 was 17%.

Couples in Quynh Thanh have from 3 to 6 children, making life more difficult. As a result, mothers do not have time to raise and care for their children scientifically. At the meeting, the women and mothers were introduced by the Women's Union of Quynh Luu district officers to 3 lessons in the topic "raising children scientifically" including health care for pregnant mothers, breastfeeding and instructions on how to supplement food properly for children.

Also through this thematic activity, the Women's Union integrated propaganda on family planning, stopping at 2 children to raise good children and teach them well scientifically, ensuring children have an environment for comprehensive physical and mental development.
