- I don't understand why the MCs of TV game shows these days keep using Western languages mixed with Vietnamese, and I, a "country bumpkin" like me, don't understand what's going on. Every time they get excited, instead of exclaiming "that's great" or "that's great", they shout "Ow, yeah!", and sometimes they even add in a lot of confusing words.
- Oh my god! What do you think? Don't you see everywhere people are competing to give "Western" names to "Vietnamese things"? For example, hotels and supermarkets have: Diamond Plaza, Horizon, Side Lake, ... High-rise buildings and urban areas have: Lotus Tower, Royan Cyti, Saigon Pearl, Hanoi Time Tower... Reading it makes my mouth tired. But clearly I'm in my "fatherland", hearing it makes me feel like I'm in the United States or England!
- I see. Our people have a "foreign-worship" disease. MCs are following the latest trends without paying attention to whether the audience understands anything or not? It's a serious disease that's hard to cure. We have to learn to adapt.
