On free days of the week, Ms. Tu Anh - lecturer at Vinh Medical University will organize an English exchange session with English Club teaching assistants to improve their skills.
Nguyen Thi Mai Thao, a student majoring in Preventive Medicine - Club President, said: “The free class is opened to help students with difficult circumstances who are eager to learn; at the same time, it also creates opportunities for those who love foreign languages to exchange, chat, share experiences and tips for learning English well. In each session, you will learn English by topic, a session will be divided into 4 parts: Vocabulary, grammar, listening skills, speaking and reflexes.”
According to Mai Thao, many students today are still quite shy and lack confidence. Therefore, in addition to increasing vocabulary and grammar, the club also focuses on practicing speaking skills, helping students become more confident.
Although the club has only been in operation for over 2 months, the effectiveness of its free English classes is quite obvious. Many students who initially had limited English skills and were "afraid" of English have now gradually improved and become more confident.
VMU English Club has no limit on the scope and number of participants. Currently, the Club is recruiting and expanding its scope of activities so that poor students have the opportunity to improve their English knowledge without having to pay tuition fees.
