Student volunteers bring joy to poor Khmu village
(Baonghean.vn) - These days, 17 students from Nghe An studying in Hanoi have returned to Na Be village, Xa Luong commune (Tuong Duong) to participate in the summer volunteer movement, bringing joy to the villagers, especially the children.

Na Be village is more than 10 km from the center of Xa Luong commune (Tuong Duong), home to 198 households of the Kho Mu ethnic group, of which 123 are poor households. The main source of income for Na Be people is from slash-and-burn farming. Currently, many people have left the village to work far away, the standard of living is still low, and economic and social life still faces many difficulties and hardships. |

During the summer, the SVTN Team of 17 members from Nghe An who are studying at the Hanoi Academy of Finance came to Na Be to help the locals clear the roads, collect and treat waste, and install light bulbs along the main roads. SVTN Team members focus on providing review guidance for students with poor academic performance, those in difficult circumstances, and those whose parents work far away and lack care and attention; helping them confidently enter the new school year. |

Along with organizing fun activities and reviewing knowledge, the SVTN Team also gave the Khmu children in Na Be 350 pairs of sandals, nearly 900 notebooks and set up a bookshelf to maintain the movement of studying and reading. |

Arriving in Na Be, the SVTN team lived and worked with the local people, thereby gaining more experience and sharing the lives of the highland people. |
