According to Decision No. 216/QD-LĐBĐVN, SLNA Football Club was fined 20 million VND for allowing the club's fans to light flares in the stadium during the match between Viettel Football Club and SLNA Football Club in round 8 of the V-League at Hang Day Stadium.

This is the second time in less than a month that Nghe An fans have set off flares at Hang Day Stadium but have only received the lightest penalty for this violation.

Specifically, in round 4 of V.League 2019, during the away match at Hanoi Stadium, SLNA fans had similar actions at Hang Day Stadium, causing the Nghe An team to be fined 20 million VND by VFF.

Regarding this issue, SLNA coach Duc Thang called on his fans to cheer in a civilized manner. “We always appreciate the affection that SLNA fans have for the team, but the players and I hope that besides the enthusiasm, there is fair play and a civilized way of cheering,” said coach Duc Thang.

Previously, in round 6 of V.League 2019, Hang Day Stadium became a "party" of flares during the match between Hanoi and Hai Phong. After that, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent a dispatch requesting the People's Committees of provinces and cities to handle and prevent the act of fans lighting flares during matches, but this situation still occurred.
