SLNA officially appointed Ngo Quang Truong as head coach

(Baonghean.vn)- Immediately after returning from Laos, Ngo Quang Truong received the decision to officially become the head coach of Song Lam Nghe An Club.

On November 19, former football star Ngo Quang Truong announced that he had officially received the decision to appoint him as coach of Song Lam Nghe An Football Club. Ngo Quang Truong's assistants at SLNA are Duc Thang and Anh Tuan.

Ngo Quang Truong is currently a member of SLNA club, so there will be no constraints like a head coach contract. Ngo Quang Truong's form is an appointment, different from other coaches in V-League who are hired for a limited period of time.

Immediately after receiving the decision, new coach Ngo Quang Truong and his coaching team started preparing personnel and training to prepare for the National Sports Festival in early December. Currently, two assistant coaches are directing training on the field, Ngo Quang Truong stands outside observing and monitoring the players' performance before applying his training plan.

The recruitment of foreign players for the new season is also being quietly implemented by SLNA club.

Sharing with Nghe An Newspaper, Ngo Quang Truong said that basically, the player personnel as well as the club will not have too many changes. No player has been "chosen" to become the new captain after Le Cong Vinh left. The SLNA Club's Board of Directors has not yet assigned specific targets for the achievements of the Sports Congress and the 2015 V-League season, however, the team's goal is to try to compete with all their might for the fans, achieving the highest possible results. "We hope that the fans will continue to share the difficulties, accompany the SLNA team, create trust and opportunities for the young players. We promise to try our best for the fans," Coach Ngo Quang Truong confided.

Ngo Quang Truong is a former famous player of SLNA and the Vietnam national team. With his brave, confident and discreet playing style, he is affectionately known as "Truong Tru". After devoting his youth to Song Lam Nghe An Club, he was assigned to play for Hoang Anh Gia Lai and contributed to the mountain town team winning the V-League championship in 2003. After retiring, Quang Truong went to school to become a coach and lead SLNA's youth teams. In 2012, Quang Truong led the SLNA U17 team to the championship. Ngo Quang Truong is highly regarded and has a lot of prestige in the eyes of the players.
