SLNA plays in Asian Cup, SLNA youth team lacks training ground

However, coach Nguyen Dinh Dung and his students encountered a bit of a setback in the preparation process and had to move early to Hue. The reason is that the Nghe An team is competing in the AFC Cup this year, so the main field is constantly being maintained, and the SLNA first team practices at the youth team's natural grass training field.

Commenting before the National U19 Finals, Coach Nguyen Dinh Dung said: “The quality of SLNA U19 players this year compared to previous generations is average and poor. However, before leaving, SLNA Club leaders assigned the target for us to bring home medals. Therefore, we are still determined to achieve the best results. SLNA U19's preparation this year still faces some difficulties in terms of training grounds because we have to give up the training ground to the first team.”

Currently, SLNA is still facing many difficulties in terms of playing fields and facilities. With 2 artificial turf fields and 2 natural turf fields (including Vinh field), SLNA youth teams from U11 to U21, who already lack training fields, are now struggling even more. Practicing 2 sessions/day on the main field often causes the grass surface of Vinh field to deteriorate. In recent days, coach Nguyen Duc Thang and his team have had to use a secondary training field to prevent the grass surface of the main training field and Vinh field from deteriorating.

Regarding Vinh Stadium, although they have tried to improve the quality of the grass to meet the requirements of the Asian Football Federation, General Director Nguyen Hong Thanh still affirmed that the team will definitely renovate the Vinh Stadium grass but has not chosen the right time.

While other training centers are having modern facilities, focusing only on improving expertise, a team with tradition and quality players like SLNA is lacking basic training conditions, which is truly regrettable./.
