Many SLNA players shared that if they did not use foreign players, the team would play better because most of the domestic players grew up in the Song Lam "furnace" and have been together for a long time, so they understand each other very well. Foreign players are weak in skills and have different languages, so it is very difficult to find harmony on the field. At the end of the season, the team is not under much pressure about results, so they really want the coaching staff to use young players, creating a premise for the next season," a pillar of SLNA shared.

There has been some pressure on Huu Thang, in the situation where many domestic players need the opportunity to test themselves, so it is likely that for the rest of the season, the SLNA coaching board will have to give maximum priority to domestic players. In fact, when investing in SLNA, the sponsor, Bac A Bank, also hoped that the Nghe An football team would be a group of locals. The cost of hiring foreign players would be spent on the goal of developing youth training. The wish of Ms. Thai Huong, Director of Bac A Bank, is to have an SLNA with its own identity, in which it must be able to live on its own capital, because nowhere else has as many football talents as Nghe An. Over the years, SLNA has not realized the sponsor's wishes, because when setting performance goals, not using foreign players will face many disadvantages. However, with a less competitive tournament like V.League this year, combined with the fact that foreign players play too poorly, the sponsor's request is being considered and noticed by many people. First of all, it is necessary to review the process of recruiting foreign players, because in the recent past, most football teams have spent tens of billions of dong every year to buy foreign players, but not all teams are effective.

Based on the current situation as well as the sponsor's wishes, SLNA may say no to foreign players not only in the final stages of this season but also in the following seasons. That will likely happen when in recent training sessions, SLNA's coaching staff no longer arranged foreign players in key positions, besides, they tested many young factors, mainly U.21 to prepare to massively strengthen the first team in V.League next season.
