SLNA refused to sell Cong Vinh to Consadole Sapporo

Yesterday morning, SLNA Club received a document from Japanese team Consadole Sapporo requesting to extend the loan contract of player Le Cong Vinh for another season. However, the leadership of the Nghe An team refused.

SLNA Football Joint Stock Company General Director Nguyen Hong Thanh said: “We have officially received a document from Consadole Sapporo Club, in which they proposed to continue the loan contract for Cong Vinh for another season. The price they offered, I think, is reasonable.

However, our leaders unanimously disagreed. The contract between SLNA and Consadole Sapporo Club will expire at the end of this year, 5 months after Vinh played for them. After that, Cong Vinh will return to Vietnam to continue playing for SLNA from January 2014. Cong Vinh will be a pillar of SLNA next season and we do not want to loan Vinh anymore."

It is known that Cong Vinh is still bound by a contract with SLNA for another season and if he spends money to buy back that 1-year contract, this striker will be eligible to move to play for another team, such as Consadole Sapporo.

Cong Vinh is being invited by Consadole Sapporo to stay for another year.

However, according to Mr. Thanh, Cong Vinh is a prestigious player who always shows respect for his hometown team, so that situation is unlikely to happen. However, SLNA Club leaders do not know the views of Nghe An province leaders and sponsor Bac A Bank on this issue.
