Number of nCoV infections up to 270
At 6:00 p.m. on April 24, the Ministry of Health recorded two more positive cases of nCoV, both of whom were international students returning from Japan and were immediately quarantined.
Two people, a 23-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, took flight VN311 on April 22 from Japan to Van Don airport and were quarantined at the Thai Binh Military School. During the day, the Thai Binh Provincial Center for Disease Control took samples for screening and the results showed they were suspected of being infected with nCoV. The Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology tested positive.
"Patient 269", male, address in Huong Mai, Viet Yen, Bac Giang.
"Patient 270", female, address in Dong Thang, Tien Dung, Yen Dung, Bac Giang.
Currently, both are being treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, branch 2.
Thus, two new infections end 8 days without recording any new positive cases.
Today, one person in Dong Nai was announced to be cured, bringing the total number of cured people to 225. The number of patients being treated is 45.
