Nghe An Department of Education and Training guides the organization of 6th grade secondary school enrollment for the 2015-2016 school year

(Baonghean.vn) - On April 27, Nghe An Department of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch No. 586/SGD&DT-GDTrH on instructions for organizing admission to grade 6 of secondary school for the 2015-2016 school year.

Accordingly, based on the Regulations on Secondary School and High School Admissions, issued together with Circular No. 11/2014/TT-BGDDT dated April 18, 2014 of the Ministry of Education and Training; The Department of Education and Training guides the work of admission to grade 6 of secondary school for the 2014-2016 school year, implemented by the selection method; The Department requires the Departments of Education and Training to base on Circular 11 and the actual situation in the locality, develop an admission plan, submit it to the People's Committee of the district, city, or town for approval.

In order for the enrollment work to be carried out seriously, the Department requires the Departments of Education and Training to pay attention to the following issues in the enrollment plan:

- The scale of schools, classes, and students must comply with the development plan approved by the Department of Education and Training. For schools where the number of students applying for admission does not exceed the enrollment quota, the Department of Education and Training directs schools to organize acceptance and handover of the quality of education for grade 5 students who have completed the primary school program to grade 6.

- For schools with a number of students registering for admission greater than the planned admission quota, it is necessary to develop an admission plan with admission criteria based on the results of primary school student assessment according to the provisions of Circular 30/2014/TT-BGDDT dated August 28, 2014 (applied from the 2014-2015 school year), and Circular 32/2009/TT-BGDDT dated October 27, 2009 of the Ministry of Education and Training (applied from the 2013-2014 school year and earlier), suitable to the local situation.

The Department also requires the Department of Education and Training to strengthen management and direction so that primary schools in the area strictly, objectively and fairly implement the assessment of students in the district, city and town and must ensure the recruitment of students with disabilities who need to study and perform well the universalization task in the area. The selection of students for grade 6 in the 2015-2016 school year, the Department of Education and Training must complete before July 31, 2015 (in accordance with the regulations in Decision No. 2687/QD-UBND-VX dated June 13, 2014 of the Provincial People's Committee).
