(Baonghean.vn) - This is one of the contents in the official dispatch issued by the Nghe An Department of Education and Training today, August 12, to ensure the safety of shuttle vehicles at school units.

In fact, at this time, the use of cars to pick up and drop off students has been implemented in many schools in Nghe An. In Vinh city alone, according to statistics, there are currently 14 schools that have cars to pick up and drop off students every day, including 11 kindergartens and 3 primary and secondary schools.

After the incident of student Le Hoang Long, class 1 Tokyo, Gateway School (Hanoi), was forgotten on the bus. The school did not contact the family about the student not coming to class. At more than 4 pm, when the child was found motionless on the floor of the bus, the school took him to E Hospital for emergency treatment, at which time the parents learned of the incident. According to the initial investigation results, Long died before being taken to the hospital. Cau Giay District Police initiated a case of "Involuntary manslaughter" on the morning of August 7.

To ensure traffic safety for cars transporting students, on August 12, the Department of Education and Training issued an official dispatch requesting the Departments of Education and Training to check and review the statistics of the number of vehicles, license plates, and vehicle types of educational institutions in the area (from kindergarten to high school, public and non-public) serving to transport and pick up students in the area, requiring that the vehicles be clearly stated whether they are owned by the school or rented by the school.

Besides,Require educational institutions that organize the transportation of students to and from school by car to select transportation businesses that meet the conditions prescribed by law; clearly state in the transportation contract between the educational institution and the transportation business the requirements and responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals regarding traffic safety.

Schools also need to protect the health of students when sitting on the bus and when getting on and off the bus. There must be someone responsible for managing and checking the student list and reminding students to follow the safety regulations and skills when sitting on the bus and when getting on and off the bus.

Special,To prevent the use of expired cars, expired registrations, and inspections (especially in rural and mountainous areas), the Department recommends that before transporting passengers, units must sign contracts with schools, the Parents' Association, or parent groups.

At the same time, educational institutions must report to local authorities and coordinate with competent agencies to review the number of passenger vehicles that have expired their usage period, and absolutely not sign transportation contracts for this type of vehicle.

The Department of Education and Training recommends that cadres, teachers, employees, students and parents who need to travel on routes should choose vehicles with badges issued by the Department of Transport, including: Badges for fixed-route vehicles, contract vehicles, buses, and taxis.

If vehicles do not have a badge, they are not qualified to ensure safety to transport passengers on the routes.
