Nghe An Department of Transport requires bus companies to provide free masks to passengers
(Baonghean.vn) - The distribution of free masks to passengers by Nghe An Department of Transport has received positive support from traffic participants, contributing to the prevention of the epidemic caused by the corona virus.
On the evening of February 2, hundreds of passengers traveling by bus in and out of the province at the Northern Bus Station of Vinh City were given medical masks by the Nghe An Department of Transport to protect their health and prevent the spread of the corona virus.
Vinh City's Northern Bus Station is a traffic hub with a large volume of people and vehicles. On average, each day at this bus station, there are more than 4,000 passengers with about 250 vehicles entering and leaving the station.
The Department of Transport's distribution of free masks to passengers has received positive support from traffic participants, contributing to the fight against the dangerous epidemic that is becoming more and more complicated. Many passengers were very happy to receive free masks.

"It takes a whole day to travel from Vinh city to Xieng Khouang (Laos). After receiving free masks from the Department of Transport and instructions on the bus station's loudspeaker system on how to prevent the corona epidemic, I realized the harmful effects of the epidemic and will wear a mask to protect my health and that of other passengers on the bus," said Hoang Kim Xuan, a passenger from Hue city.

Director of Nghe An Department of Transport Hoang Phu Hien said that Nghe An is a large area with all types of transportation, aviation, road, waterway, railway, the traffic of people and vehicles concentrated at these hubs is very large, the risk of spreading the epidemic is high. In the face of the complicated situation of the corona virus epidemic, the Department of Transport has proactively taken measures to prevent the spread.
“The Department has issued a document to urge its staff, workers and units in the industry to strictly implement the directions and instructions of the Ministry of Health and the Provincial People's Committee. At the same time, it has issued a document to urge Vinh Airport, the Northern Bus Station of the city, bus stations in the province, railway stations and transport business units to strictly implement the directions of the Ministry of Health and the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

In addition, the Department has deployed the distribution of masks at bus stations across the province and today simultaneously distributed more than 10,000 medical masks to passengers" - the Director of the Department of Transport emphasized.
At the same time, the Department of Transport has increased direct inspections of transport businesses and bus stations, requiring bus stations, bus companies and passengers to wear masks; passengers without masks will receive them for free; requiring all staff, from security guards, service staff, and drivers, to set an example of wearing masks when in contact with passengers.
