Department of Transport gives gifts to students and poor households in remote areas
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 25, the delegation of the Department of Transport of Nghe An province led by Mr. Pham Hong Quang - Deputy Director of the Department came to give Mid-Autumn gifts to students in Keng Du commune, Ky Son district; presented gifts to support 3 kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools and poor households under the program to help poor communes in the Western region of the Provincial People's Committee.
Keng Du is a border commune, especially difficult in the mountainous district of Ky Son. Economic life is underdeveloped. |
Over the past 4 years, the Department of Transport of Nghe An province has provided practical and effective assistance to Keng Du commune in developing its economy, improving its cultural and spiritual life, and gradually reducing poverty. Specifically, in 2012, from the mobilization and contributions of its staff, the Department of Transport of Nghe An supported 10 tons of cement for the Commune People's Committee to build essential works; 02 laptops for administrative work. In 2013 and 2014, it supported 30 bunk beds for secondary school students, donated 50 sets of textbooks for primary school students and many other learning tools; provided financial support and provided 65 goats, 1,000 bamboo shoots, donated 04 savings accounts worth 20 million VND, built houses for 03 families in especially difficult circumstances worth 90 million VND; support tables and chairs for meetings of the commune People's Committee headquarters and many gifts for policy families on the occasion of holidays...
During this visit and gift giving, the delegation of Nghe An Department of Transport had a working session with the Party Committee, government, and Keng Du Border Guard Station to evaluate the effectiveness of the assistance activities. |
In the first 8 months of 2015, the Department of Transport has given 30 gifts to policy families, poor households, lonely elderly people with no place to rely on, and 60 warm clothes to students in Keng Du commune.

During this visit and gift-giving trip, the delegation of the Department of Transport supported 33 breeding goats for 10 households and Keng Du Border Guard Station; presented gifts of school bags and pencil boxes to 25 students (each gift worth 200,000 VND); presented 3 schools in the area with 02 projector systems and screens, 03 large cooking pots, 03 bicycles and many candies for students to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival; presented the Commune People's Committee with 01 laptop and some other gifts...
