Summary of 3 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction
(Baonghean) -On the morning of March 19, Yen Thanh district held a conference to review 3 years of implementing the national target program on new rural construction and deploy tasks for 2014.
After 3 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, Yen Thanh district has achieved many encouraging results. Up to now, the whole district has 1 commune meeting the NTM standards, 9 communes meeting 14-15 criteria, 8 communes meeting 12-13 criteria, 6 communes meeting 9-11 criteria, 13 communes meeting 5-8 criteria, and 1 commune meeting less than 5 criteria. 38/38 communes have had their planning for new rural construction assessed and approved. Currently, 78/115 schools have met national standards; 22/38 communes have met health standards according to the new criteria. The whole district has 83.9% of families meeting cultural standards, the rate of cultural villages is 51.6%, 100% of residential areas have cultural houses, cultural and sports facilities are gradually upgraded according to new rural criteria.
In 2014, Yen Thanh strives to have 4 more communes meeting national standards for new rural construction. On this occasion, 5 collectives with outstanding achievements in directing the construction of new rural areas, 7 collectives with achievements in directing land conversion were commended and rewarded by the Chairman of the District People's Committee.
