Summary of the Movement "Military Logistics Sector Follows Uncle Ho's Teachings"
(Baonghean.vn) -On April 1, 2015, the Military Region 4 Command held a conference to review 5 years of the emulation movement "The Army Logistics Sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings", period 2010 - 2015.
The conference was attended by representatives of the General Department of Logistics (Ministry of National Defense), comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Military Region Command, and 204 delegates who are typical examples of the emulation movement. Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi, Deputy Commander, Head of the Steering Committee for the emulation movement of the Military Region Logistics Sector chaired the conference.

Over the past 5 years, the Party Standing Committee, the Military Region Command, Party committees and commanders at all levels have always focused on improving the level and ability to ensure logistics for regular and unexpected tasks, ensuring good logistics for forces on duty in key areas, borders, islands, fully-staffed, newly-established and split units. In the emulation movement, many models of effective and creative production and livestock raising have emerged, contributing to the entire Military Region ensuring 100% self-sufficiency in green vegetables, 88% of pork, 41% of fish, 96% of fish sauce, 94% of tofu... The value of TGSX added to food is from 500 - 1000 VND/day/person.
The quality of protection and health care for soldiers has been increasingly improved, always maintaining a healthy military ratio of over 98.8% and effectively implementing a variety of combined military-civilian medical programs. The movement "Building and managing regular, green, clean, and beautiful barracks" has been promoted towards improving the conditions for eating, living, and entertainment for soldiers. The emulation movement also contributes significantly to the management and good use of logistics and financial materials, ensuring the efficiency of gasoline, transportation, and building the logistics sector to be gradually regularized and comprehensively strong.

The conference determined that in the coming time, the emulation movement will continue to be promoted in the direction of "One focus - three breakthroughs and four bests". In which, "One focus" is to focus on in-depth investment in logistics assurance, overcome weaknesses, and replicate new, typical and advanced models. "Three breakthroughs" are to make a breakthrough in improving the quality of logistics assurance and soldiers' health; thoroughly practice thrift, fight against embezzlement and waste; continue to promote administrative reform, improve professional ethics, and a truly grassroots, soldier-oriented service attitude. "Four bests" are to have the spirit of serving soldiers best; increase production, nurture and take care of soldiers' health best; fight against waste and practice thrift most effectively; promote initiatives, improve techniques to apply closely to unit and local conditions, and build the most suitable logistics models.
