Summary of emulation and rewards of the North Central Emulation Cluster

((Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of July 28, the Emulation Cluster of the North Central provinces held a conference to review the emulation and reward work in the first 6 months of 2016.

Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference; Attending the conference were representatives of the Central Emulation and Commendation Committee, leaders of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue provinces.

Conference to evaluate emulation and reward work in the first 6 months of the year of 6 North Central provinces, and set out directions for activities in the last 6 months of the year.

In the first 6 months of 2016, the North Central provinces have proactively issued directive documents, organized emulation movements regularly and continuously, focusing on key areas; effectively directed patriotic emulation movements at all levels, sectors, agencies and units with rich themes, forms, specific content and criteria that closely followed the key political tasks of each unit and locality in each period.

In general, the patriotic emulation movements of the provinces in the cluster have been maintained regularly, with many innovations and creativity in both content and form. In particular, the emulation movements are closely linked with the Campaign "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh" and the movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas". The provinces have promptly honored, commended and rewarded typical examples and new models, thus motivating all classes of people to compete to achieve the highest results.

Particularly in Nghe An, implementing Directive No. 02 CT/TU dated March 1, 2016 of the Provincial Party Committee, the Plan to build advanced models in the period 2016-2020 of the Provincial People's Committee, emulation movements have contributed significantly to the completion of socio-economic goals in the first 6 months of 2016.

Accordingly, the growth rate of total product in the first 6 months of Nghe An is estimated at 6.61%, higher than in recent years and higher than the average growth rate of the whole country (5.52%); Export turnover is estimated at 199.273 million USD, up 25.66%; Capital mobilized in the area is estimated at 83,715 billion VND, up 8.5% over the beginning of the year; Total state budget revenue is estimated at 4,953.3 billion VND, reaching 48.2% of the estimate, up 24.3% over the same period...

Regarding education, in the 2015-2016 school year, Nghe An province had 106 students achieving national excellent student status (ranked 3rd in the country), 957 schools met national standards, reaching a rate of 62.92%; Regarding the national target program on new rural construction, the average across the province reached 12.3 criteria/commune, striving to complete 34 more communes by the end of 2016 to achieve 19/19 criteria according to the plan.

Promoting the achieved results, in the last 6 months of the year, the provinces in the North Central Emulation Cluster focused on thoroughly implementing Directive 34/2014/CT-TW of the Politburo; Directive No. 18/CT-TTg dated May 19, 2016 of the Prime Minister to carry out the launched emulation movements, successfully carry out the tasks of socio-economic development, national defense and security in 2016 according to the targets of the Resolution of the People's Council of each province.

Provinces continue to promote major emulation movements such as "All people unite to build a cultural life", "All people join hands to build new rural areas"... effectively, associated with the effective implementation of Directive 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo "Promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; Actively innovate, strengthen management work, improve quality to make emulation and reward work truly become a strong driving force in development.

At the preliminary conference, the Emulation Cluster of the North Central provinces approved the draft plan of activities of the Cluster 2016, the guidelines for scoring and classification 2016, the criteria table for self-scoring and classification 2016; Typical examples in the Emulation Cluster participated in reporting, giving opinions...

Concluding the conference, comrade Le Xuan Dai expressed his hope that the provinces in the emulation cluster would continue to strengthen the Party's leadership and the State's management of emulation and reward work. Emulation and reward councils at all levels would further enhance their responsibilities, closely coordinate with all levels of sectors, consolidate their organizational apparatus to strengthen inspection and supervision at the grassroots level, improve the quality and efficiency of work, promptly detect and reward advanced models./.
