(Baonghean) - On July 17, 2015, Nghe An newspaper published an article "Coal yard causes pollution at Cua Con residential, tourism and service project" reflecting: Although the local government has issued a decision to reclaim the land, request the business owner to hand over the site and stop coal gathering activities, the coal gathering yard (opposite the National Historical Site of Con Temple, in Quynh Di commune) is still operating vigorously, causing environmental pollution, affecting many households and the activities of the Cua Con residential, tourism and service project.

On July 23, 2015, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Nghe An province issued Official Dispatch No. 3358/STNMT-BVMT requesting the People's Committee of Hoang Mai Town to direct relevant departments and offices to inspect and verify the above reflection and take timely handling measures. The handling results will be reported to the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and the Department of Information and Communications before August 1, 2015.
