(Baonghean.vn)- On May 26, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An organized an incense offering, flower offering and tree planting ceremony at Truong Bon National Historical Site, My Son Commune, Do Luong District.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Ho Mau Thanh, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and officers and employees of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

During the fierce war years of the resistance war against the US, Highway 15A was an important lifeline. Therefore, this place became a bomb bag of the US imperialists. In just a short time at Truong Bon, the US imperialists dropped thousands of bombs and hundreds of missiles to destroy villages, plowing up the entire road to cut off the strategic supply route to the southern battlefield. Here, more than 1,240 people including forces from the army, civil defense officers and self-defense forces heroically sacrificed. Notably, on October 31, 1968, 13 Youth Volunteers of Company 317 - Team 65, Nghe An Youth Volunteers Team against the US to save the country heroically sacrificed at a very young age.

Today, on the ancient “fire coordinates”, Truong Bon is reviving strongly. Demonstrating the morality of “remembering the source of water”, the Party Committee and people of Nghe An province are actively striving to build, preserve and promote the value of Truong Bon historical relic to become more spacious and beautiful to show gratitude and gratitude to the heroic martyrs, contributing to educating the tradition of patriotism and revolution for generations.

This is a meaningful activity, aiming to commemorate the 68th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2015) and responding to the direction of the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee in Official Dispatch No. 4279 -CV-TU, dated May 2, 2015 on launching tree planting at Truong Bon relic site.
