The Department of Health has decided to administratively fine Apollo Clinic at 228-228A Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Cu Trinh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City with a fine of more than VND89 million.
In addition, the Department also decided to revoke the right to use the license and practice certificate for 12 months, revoke the pharmacy practice certificate of pharmacist Nguyen Thi Tuyet Van for 9 months, and confiscate the drugs collected at the facility.
The reason is that the clinic has committed violations in providing medical examination and treatment services beyond the scope of expertise; applying new methods in medical examination and treatment without permission from the Department of Health; using drugs not yet permitted for circulation in medical examination and treatment; advertising beyond the scope of expertise stated in the operating license, collecting medical examination service fees without posting prices; not creating medical records for patients, trading in drugs not yet permitted for circulation, and arranging for people without a practice certificate to perform tasks that require a practice certificate.
The Department of Health requires Apollo Medical Limited Company to strictly comply with the penalty decision within 10 days from the date of receiving the penalty decision, September 6. After this deadline, if the company deliberately fails to comply, it will be forced to comply./.
