Venezuelan Cultural Day in Hanoi

On the morning of June 21, Venezuelan Cultural Day took place in Hanoi, an activity to enhance the friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Venezuela.

Venezuela is influenced by Latin American style and culture, expressed through all aspects of life such as painting, architecture, music, historical works... Venezuelan culture is formed on the basis of three main factors: the culture of indigenous Indians, Spaniards and black Africans.

Venezuela's rich and diverse culture is reflected in its thousand-year history with 51 ethnic communities and 31 languages, a culture that is a blend of European and African peoples.

Venezuela has the world's largest waterfall and the world's third largest river, the Orinoco.

Speaking at the ceremony, Venezuelan Ambassador Jorge Rondón Uzcategui highly appreciated the Vietnam-Venezuela relationship and said that the cultural activities aimed to strengthen the friendship between the people of the two countries: “Through this event, we wish to introduce a small part of Venezuela, its landscape, the beauty of its handicrafts, and the friendship of Venezuela to the people of Vietnam… The real assets of the country are its cultural heritage and people”.

The Cultural Day also featured a photo exhibition and Venezuelan handicrafts, introducing to the audience some of the handicrafts made by the skillful hands of Venezuelan farmers. These include products woven from Moriche palm fibers by the Waraco natives; Larsense textiles; products cut from Balsa wood… Through their own art, they have created the identity and diversity of Venezuelan culture.

Venezuelan Cultural Day in Vietnam is a very meaningful activity that contributes to strengthening the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Venezuela, and at the same time helps Vietnamese people understand more about the country, people and culture of Venezuela. The two countries established diplomatic relations on December 18, 1989 and have rapidly developed relations in many fields. In particular, the cultural field is being actively and effectively implemented, contributing to complementing each other on their development path./.
