On the evening of July 22, in Hong Son ward (Vinh city), Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union jointly organized the program "Lighting up the dreams of Vietnamese children" in Nghe An province in 2023.
The program is part of the "I Love Vietnam" Journey, which has been maintained annually since 2015.
The journey is a reward from Ho Chi Minh City leaders to commend and present to team members and students who have achieved good results in their studies, are active in team work, and overcome difficulties and rise up in life.
In the summer of 2023, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union - Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneers Council organized the Journey "I love Vietnam" from July 17 to July 24 with the participation of 100 team members, in charge of typical teams of Ho Chi Minh City to visit and learn about historical sites in Hanoi and Nghe An province.
The exchange and sharing activities of the children have contributed to nurturing solidarity and giving wings to the dreams and ambitions of the children of the two localities.
In order to help the team members and children in the disadvantaged teams of Nghe An province have the opportunity to accumulate more useful knowledge through referring to good books on history, national traditions, moral education, lifestyle, and practice of social skills, the Organizing Committee of the journey also donated 2 bookshelves to 2 teams in Nghe An province.
In addition, to contribute to sharing difficulties and encouraging children and team members in difficult circumstances to continue to overcome difficulties and achieve excellent results in studying, training and the Team movement, the Organizing Committee of the Journey "I love Vietnam" in 2023 presented 40 scholarships worth 40 million VND and gifts to team members and children in Nghe An province.
Previously, the journey also presented a "Friendship House" project in Nghi Loc district.
With special affection for children in Ho Chi Minh City, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Pioneer Council of Nghe An have meaningful gifts for the children participating in the Journey "I love Vietnam".
