Check out affordable scooters for women in Vietnam
Upgraded and adjusted to a softer price than before, is Yamaha Nozza really an attractive choice for female customers in Vietnam?
In the small scooter segment, Yamaha Nozza was a hot name when it was first launched in September 2011 thanks to its feminine design and many features. However, after nearly 3 years on the market, this line of vehicles has more or less cooled down due to low purchasing power and competitive pressure from rival Honda Vision.
To "strengthen" Nozza in the competition with Vision, Yamaha has recently renewed the design and adjusted the selling price lower than before. Will this strategy be effective? To partly answer this question, we conducted a test run of the 2014 Nozza model for nearly a week in normal traffic conditions in Hanoi.

In terms of design, compared to its competitor Vision, Nozza has a clearer customer orientation when targeting women through a graceful, gentle design with lots of curves.
The car's slim, neat shape and fairly light weight of 98 kg make daily commuting easy and convenient. With a seat height of 755 mm, this model is "suitable" for most women. The spacious legroom is a plus point in the design, allowing women to comfortably wear skirts and hang clothes when using it.

The 2014 version does not have major changes in design or size but focuses on adjusting utility features. |
Compared to the old version, the fuel tank position has been changed and moved from under the saddle to right in front, allowing fuel to be added more simply and leisurely as the driver does not have to get off the bike when refueling.
The trunk is also "expanded" and much wider than its competitor Vision, so it can hold two half-head helmets and many other personal items such as handbags.

Nozza still uses the old engine, which is 113cc, air-cooled, electronic fuel injection, compression ratio 9.3:1, maximum capacity 7.2 horsepower at 7,500 rpm, maximum torque 7.6 Nm at 5,500 rpm, but has some minor adjustments to make the vehicle run smoother and more smoothly. The braking ability and grip of the vehicle are also improved thanks to the new tires. Nozza is equipped with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.

Overall, compared to its competitor Vision, Nozza is not superior in terms of performance. In return, this vehicle line is more eye-catching and suitable for women in both design and comfort. In addition, the new price of 28.9 million VND with a 3-year genuine warranty equivalent to 30,000 km is also a plus point to allow Nozza to be in the sights of women when buying a scooter under 30 million VND.
