Soon put 2 provincial hospitals into operation

(Baonghean) -On the afternoon of November 14, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee inspected the construction progress of the 700-bed General Hospital and Nghe An Oncology Hospital. Also attending were representatives of a number of relevant departments, agencies and sectors.

Nghe An General Hospital with a scale of 700 beds is expected to be completed and put into use in 2013. According to the 2011 schedule, the entire architectural construction package, electricity supply, water supply and drainage in the main building block (belonging to package 11-XL with an estimated value of 283 billion VND) must be completed. However, there is still a large amount of work that has not been implemented or has been implemented but not completed. The service area alone cannot be implemented because there are still 35 households that have not been relocated.

For Nghe An Oncology Hospital, the scale of 500 beds is planned to be built with a total area of ​​14 hectares in Nghi Kim and Nghi Lien communes, expected to be implemented in 2015. While waiting for the new construction, the Provincial People's Committee has allowed the hospital to renovate and upgrade the initial facilities at 60- Ton That Tung (in Hung Dung ward - Vinh city). The hospital has organized examination and treatment of patients since August 8, 2011. However, due to the limited facilities and campus (the 3-storey technical building has only completed 40% of the workload), all departments are working together, there are only 3 patient rooms while the number of patients is large (50 beds/100 patients), causing the hospital to be overloaded. To solve the above problems, the hospital proposed to prioritize capital to speed up the construction progress of technical and professional buildings and auxiliary items to contribute to putting the project into synchronous use, serving well the work of medical examination, treatment, and health care for the people...

Concluding the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong emphasized: The province's resources for the two hospitals are very large. Therefore, for the 700-bed hospital, the investor must overcome difficulties, focus resources, and speed up construction progress to put the project into use in 2013. Relevant departments, branches and sectors need to coordinate to focus on solving problems, especially those related to construction procedures and site clearance to ensure synchronous implementation of bidding packages. The construction supervision unit must pay special attention to the issue of construction quality. In particular, the design consultant contractor, based on the actual situation, will promptly resolve issues related to adjusting the design planning of the items. The Provincial People's Committee will try to solve the capital source and consider the recommendations of the relevant parties. For the Oncology Hospital, in the context of limited funding, we will first speed up the construction of the 3-storey building and approved items, striving to officially launch the hospital by February 27 at the latest.
