Early construction of resettlement area for 17 households of DKC petroleum depot project
(Baonghean.vn) - On April 2, the Nghi Loc District Compensation Council publicly announced the compensation plan for the DKC petroleum depot project.
The DKC Petroleum Depot Project, invested by Thien Minh Duc Joint Stock Company, has a capacity of 86,000 m3 with a separate wharf system 1.5 km long, receiving ships from 20,000 to 30,000 tons to serve the sustainable import and export of goods.
The project has a total investment of over 600 billion VND and is divided into 3 phases: Phase 1 is a warehouse of 26,000 m3 and a wharf; Phase 2 is 45,000 m3: Phase 3 is 15,000 m3. According to the plan, phase 1 will be completed and put into operation by the end of 2016.

The planned petroleum depot project is located in Nghi Thiet commune with an area of 7.2 hectares, including 17 households, 550 graves to be relocated, 23 residential land plots and 17,401 hectares of forest within the clearance area.
Up to this point, the district compensation council has paid money to 55 households/267 graves, 13 households/59 graves have not received money. The district has also paid money to all forest planting households and the protective forest management board. 19/22 households with residential land in the project area have had their records prepared.
The petroleum depot project is a place to transport international oil through the seaport and is a key project of the province, so immediately after publicizing the planning, introducing the project, and evaluating the benefits of the project, Nghi Loc district has publicly announced the compensation plan for land acquisition for 17 households with residential land. The compensation price for residential land applied by the district is 1.5 million VND/m2.2.
Most households here agree to support the Project, however, people propose that the government increase the compensation price for residential land, and at the same time build a resettlement area so that people can soon stabilize their lives./.
