Son Hai (Quynh Luu): Starting construction of a charity house for Nguyen Thi Nga
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of August 3, Son Hai commune (Quynh Luu), the district's Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs held a groundbreaking ceremony for a charity house for Nguyen Thi Nga - an orphan in hamlet 11, Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district.
Nguyen Thi Nga, a 6th grader from hamlet 11, Son Hai commune, is an orphan. For many years, she and her older sister, Nguyen Thi Hang, have had to live in a dilapidated and rickety house. The situation of the two sisters is very difficult, and they cannot afford to repair or rebuild. With the attention of all levels, sectors, local authorities and people, they have supported the cost of building a house for the two sisters.
Of which, the Provincial Association for the Support of the Disabled and Orphans supported 20 million VND; the District Association for the Support of the Disabled and Orphans 10 million VND and the District Children's Fund 35 million VND; the Buddhist Association of Yen Thai Pagoda, Son Hai Commune 3 million VND along with the help of all levels, sectors, commune organizations and local people.
It is expected that the house with an area of over 30m2, worth about 80 million VND, will be completed in early September. The house put into use will help two sisters Nguyen Thi Hang and Nguyen Thi Nga have a stable place to live, creating more motivation for the two sisters to strive to improve in life.
