Son Tung dominates nominations for Dedication Music Awards
The male singer born in 1994 is named in four out of eight nominations for the 2016 Dedication Awards, including: MV of the Year, Song of the Year, Program of the Year and Singer of the Year.

The entire list of nominees was just announced by the organizing committee, Sports & Culture newspaper, on the morning of March 24.
The new feature of the 2016 Dedication Music Awards is the MV of the Year category. In addition to Son Tung with the MV “Buong doi tay nhau ra”, there are three other faces with nominated products: Toc Tien, Van Mai Huong and Truc Nhan.
According to journalist Huu Trinh, representative of the Organizing Committee, Son Tung's overwhelming appearance proves the singer's appeal with many outstanding activities in the past year, so Son Tung is qualified to be nominated.
Looking at the list of nominees for MV of the Year, we can see the dominance of young artists and the victory of music videos that are released for free on online channels.
According to journalist Huu Trinh, all four nominees in this category generally have beautiful images and more or less have differences in visual language and stories that show comparisons with MVs released in 2015.
"Opening the MV category shows the award's interest in the practical life of music when MV becomes a popular form of singers and is warmly welcomed by the public," said Mr. Huu Trinh.
The "rejuvenation" factor is also reflected in other nomination categories.
Musician born in 1990 Mew Amazing (Le Duc Hung) is nominated in three categories: Musician of the Year, Song of the Year and MV of the Year (all with the song That Bat Ngo).
Being nominated for Musician of the Year alongside "big names" including Quoc Trung, Vo Thien Thanh and Giang Son, young musician Mew Amazing said this made him "both happy and scared".
In addition to "young factors" like Mew Amazing, there is also singer Tien Tien whose name is nominated in two categories: Song of the Year (My everything) and New Artist of the Year.

The nomination list also includes other young faces such as Ai Phuong (nominated for Song of the Year with the song I See Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass, composed by Chau Dang Khoa), Truc Nhan (song That Bat Ngo) and other names such as Trong Hieu, Isaac, Hoang Touliver in the nomination category of New Artist of the Year.
Also nominated for Album of the Year and Musician of the Year, musician Giang Son shared: "After 8 years, Giang Son has released the album Shadow of Jazz. Being nominated is a great encouragement for musicians like Giang Son to continue on their path, which can be very difficult and arduous."
"Regarding the other nominations, Giang Son sees that these are all outstanding faces, with musical products that we can easily see everywhere in the past year," the female musician commented.
Like the previous 10 times, the Dedication Music Award is voted on by reporters following the cultural, artistic and musical activities of press agencies nationwide.
