Song Lam Nghe An won the 2001 V.League Championship Cup

(BNA) -Yesterday afternoon, August 21, at Vinh City Stadium, the 26th round match, the final round of the V.League between SLNA and HN.T&T, took place. Attending and encouraging the players were leaders of the Vietnam Football Federation, leaders of Nghe An province and more than 25,000 spectators from all over the country.

Before the match took place, comrade Nguyen Trong Hy - President of Vietnam Football Federation and comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee went down to the field to give flowers and encourage the players of both teams and the referee team.

After 90 minutes of play, the two teams tied 1-1. With this result, SLNA won the Championship with 49 points after 26 rounds. With 46 points, HN.T&T won the runner-up position of V.League 2011.

At the end of the match, the leaders of the Football Federation and Nghe An province awarded the Gold Medal and Championship Cup along with 3 billion VND in bonus to SLNA team; and the Silver Medal and 1.5 billion VND in bonus to HN.T&T.
